What are modular buildings?
Modular buildings are mobile and/or fixed constructions composed of modules pre-assembled off-site. The various ready-to-use modules are then transported by truck and combined on the site of your choice. The buildings are fully equipped with all the necessary electrical and sanitary facilities. We even do the internal finishing touches before we get to your site.
In addition to our basic modules, we offer you 100% customizable solutions. We listen to your needs and expectations, and translate them into customized modular solutions. If your needs change in the future, our buildings are also scalable. Simply add modules to accommodate more users or occupants. This means that you always have a comfortable and fully equipped space at your disposal, more quickly than with a traditional construction.
How are our modular offices made?
100% European manufacturing
We pre-assemble our modular buildings in our workshops in Europe (Belgium). The modules with all the equipment are then delivered and assembled on your site. This way, you avoid the many problems associated with traditional construction, including delays due to the vagaries of the weather. In addition, you limit your ecological footprint by reducing the transportation of various building materials.
CLT wood
We build our modules out of CLT(Cross Laminated Timber ). Our wood comes from the Grande Région, an area located between Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium and France. This wood has the PEFC-FSC label, which guarantees sustainable forest management. Our workshops are also located in this area. We therefore offer 100% European solutions.
Since CLT wood offers very good insulating and soundproofing properties, you will quickly benefit from a pleasant indoor environment. It also guarantees excellent stability and a high level of fire resistance. Your building is both modern, design and sustainable.
Personalization and mobility
In addition to our basic solutions, we can also design buildings that are completely custom-made. We offer modules with or without partitions or including only the exterior walls. You can also add new modules in the future if needed. The modules can be used in a fixed and/or mobile way: they can be dismantled and reassembled elsewhere. How are our modular solutions environmentally friendly?
From the outset, we aim to use processes and materials that are both efficient and environmentally friendly. Our construction method based on CLT wood is considered “dry”. Traditional “wet” methods, such as those using cement, require a lot of water and long drying periods.
Our materials are also much lighter, which also reduces transportation costs and improves the carbon footprint. Our process is therefore both more environmentally friendly and faster.
We also make every effort to limit our ecological footprint: prefabricated elements generate less waste and limit the number of transports of materials and workers during construction and on site. This off-site pre-assembly also reduces noise and environmental disturbance on your property. In addition, CLT wood is a sustainable and recyclable material. Its production also generates lessCO2. It offers excellent insulation, which limits your energy consumption.
How to build your modular wood building?
First and foremost, you must define your needs. Halzebatz offers various basic modules, but you can also decide on the configuration of your future building. We will be happy to discuss your expectations and propose the most appropriate solutions. We provide you with fully equipped modules (electrical and sanitary installations, evacuations).
As for your land, you will need to take certain measurements beforehand. As an option, we can advise you on the technical preparation of the land (gradient, slope, connections to electricity, water and drainage systems).
