Our Compact Homes are compact, ready-to-move-in CLT timber modules \u2013 fully equipped and immediately liveable. They rest on steel piles instead of a foundation and can be installed on virtually any ground. Depending on the configuration, they include a living area, sleeping loft, bathroom and terrace. Perfect as a primary or secondary residence, holiday retreat or home office \u2013 for those who choose a minimalist and sustainable lifestyle.<\/p>

What is a Compact Home? Manufacturing, advantages and uses<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>

A Compact Home is a compact, ecological home made of solid CLT timber. All dimensions and layouts can be adapted individually \u2013 as long as the maximum transport dimensions are respected (width \u2264 3.50 m, length \u2264 13.50 m). The Compact Home therefore offers great freedom and a comfortable interior.<\/p>

The Compact Homes are designed with comfort in mind: they are insulated and connected to electricity, hot water and heating. In addition, they are equipped with mechanical ventilation and are airtight. Their height allows to occupy a volume on several levels, with mezzanines.<\/p>

Halzebatz designs and manufactures its Compact Homes in Luxembourg. They are built in the workshop and then delivered and installed on site.<\/p>

Each Compact Home is different from the previous one, because it is customizable. We adapt to your needs. In other words, your Compact Home is custom built.<\/p>

You can choose a Compact Home with or without partitions. Our Compact Homes are modular in the sense that you can stack blocks or add more on the sides. You can choose a Compact Home with a roof terrace, or a Compact Home with or without a mezzanine. Halzebatz offers 5 different modules, but can adapt some modules to your needs.<\/p>

Compact Homes built with CLT wood<\/h3>

Halzebatz Compact Homes are made of CLT wood, which is a guarantee of quality. Wood remains the most ecological and healthy material. It does not emit harmful gases and stores atmospheric CO2. We use PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) certified spruce wood. The pieces of wood are assembled and glued with a food glue. It is therefore a sustainable and environmentally friendly material.<\/p>
